Discover this Seiko 5 (ref. 7009-8210) from the 1970s — a well-loved automatic dive-style dress watch reimagined with a striking custom Geisha & Sakura art dial.

The Seiko 5 series has long been celebrated for its rugged reliability and accessible mechanical engineering, making it one of the most collected entry points into vintage Japanese watchmaking. This particular piece stands out from the crowd thanks to its hand-finished dial artwork.

Please note: the black dial featuring a geisha and cherry blossom (sakura) motif is a custom, redone dial — not the original factory Seiko dial. The crystal and strap have also been replaced with aftermarket parts, while the crown remains original. This is a customised piece rather than an all-original example, and is priced and presented accordingly.

Inside is the automatic Seiko caliber 7009 (17 jewels) with hour, minute, second and day-date functions, housed in a stainless steel case of 37mm. The watch has been cleaned and serviced by a watchmaker and keeps accurate time. Please note that water resistance is not guaranteed.

A fun, characterful conversation piece for collectors who appreciate customised watch art alongside solid Seiko mechanics.
